We are a small group that share the interest of Internal Martial Arts:
- Authentic Yang style Taiji Quan (Taiji Quan)
- Aikido
- Qin Na (Chin Na)
- Nei Gong
- Qi Gong
- Meditation
- Zhan zhuang (Standing)
Some of us have a background in Ki-Aikido and Taiji.
We practice Taiji Quan with the martial art aspect in the back of our mind. Doing so the health benefits will come too.
We see a ”Martial Art” as the art to handle a dangerous situation in a safe way. Normally by neutralize and defuse the situation instead of escalate it, as ”normal” fighting would do. Nobody have said this is easy, it is actually very difficult. Fighting is much easier. Non-fighting mind takes many years of correct training to achieve.
We believe that one do not ”do” Taiji, you have the change your being to be able to do Taiji. We slowly transform our body, chi and spirit. Doing these change demands very hard training for many years. The basic training method for many years is Standing Meditation practice (so called zhan zhuang), song gong and other body opening practice. Descending/rising, sinking/expanding chi etc. You will experience that you internal body slowly opens up, ”melts”, fills up etc. Maybe body issues will slowly disappear and your being slowly be more calm and quiet.
